Add-In could not be found. Error 80070002

I have been using SQL Prompt 3.8 in SSMS 2005 for months. A couple of weeks ago I began getting an error every time I loaded SSMS that the add-in could not be loaded. I went to Add Remove Programs and ran the SQL Prompt Repair utility.

No Chnage.

I donloaded and installed SQL Prompt 3.9 today. I get the same error on opening SSMS or any attempt to use an item in the SQL Prompt menu:

When I start SSMS I get the following message:

The Add-in 'SQL Prompt 3.9' failed to load or could not be found. Would you like to remove this Add-in?
If you choose yes, you will need to reinstall the Add-in to use it again.

Error Message: No such interface supported

Error number: 80070002

I could not locate any fixes with a Red Gate search.

What Gives?

Hi,

If you search for "80070002" in the Support Center, you should have got this as the top hit:

Also, you mention 3.8, and that the error message reflects 3.9. It's troublesome to downgrade Prompt, so you may want to make sure you're installing the latest version (3.9) by downloading it again from the product page.
