I've just tried using Sql Compare to investigate some discrepancies in our production databases. I think it could be very helpful, but there seems to be a lot of noise that I haven't found a way to eliminate: Sequence objects are all different because they all have different current values, and Synonyms are all different because the refer to different databases (at least in our environment). I've looked at the Options tabs, but I don't see anything to help with these issues.
Our main problem right now is with foreign keys, so what I would really like is the ability just to compare foreign keys, but eliminating most of the noise would go a long way to making this more useful.

If you wish to completely eliminate Sequences and Synonyms from the comparison, you can make use of the filter file on the left side of the UI.
