Log Shipping & DB Count

We have a sql 2017 server with ~4000 databases on it and are looking to migrate to a new sql 2022 server.  Can this backup tool log ship from 2017 to 2022?  Are there any "yes, but" scenarios to be aware of?

Also, is there a maximum number of databases the tool can handle?

    Good Afternoon!
    Yes, that should be possible especially as you're going from an older version of SQL Server into a newer one. You just need to make sure to select the Non-operational recovery completion state (RESTORE WITH NORECOVERY). This is a SQL Server restriction.
