I am completely new to this company and site, so please ignore, or feel free to correct, my ignorance! I was brought here after finding an article published in 2007 which looks to exactly what I want.Title is: 

Gathering RSS Feeds using Visual Studio and RSS.NET".

Unfortunately I can't find the downloads for it.
Any assistance will of course be gratefully received.

    I believe I found the SimpleTalk blog post you have referenced here:

    It looks like this is an article from 2007 and a lot of the links & information are likely depreciated or obsolete.


    Looking into the core functionality from the blog, the solution used rss.net library which was depreciated some years ago. Their website appears to have been taken down around 2009.


    Unfortunately, there were no active links I can see for this library, and it may require a different method to achieve your goal with gathering RSS feeds
