SQL Compare - Assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference on "Compare now"

Hi,

I have just installed the SQL Toolbelt trial and attempted to use SQL Compare. On clicking "Compare Now" the following appears:

Clicking on "More details" gives:

This happens on both SSMS 18 and 19 (latest version).

Any ideas why?

    Hi @robhoney

Thank you for reaching out on the Redgate forums, and sorry to hear about your SQL Compare woes.

I've seen a couple of instances with errors such as these -

First instance is a re-installation of SQL Compare, as necessary DLL's may not have been installed.
To check this first; can I ask that you conduct a fresh uninstall/install of SQL Compare

Latest version can be accessed here - https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLCompare/SQLCompare_15.3.1.25177.exe

Second, is a possible issue with your login credentials with the db you are trying to access - is this a local or remote instance you are trying to access? Can you confirm the login type you are using
