Looking for explanation of date variance substitution with hash

Looking for explanation of date variance substitution with hash and how it differers from the random offset. 
Additionally with either, how could one use this and have a pair of date columns in the same table that are beginning and ending dates so that they do not overlap. basically avoiding making the before date after the after date.

    Hi @RobGeorge - for simplicity I think you'd be best off with the (Correlated) option. If you set all Dates to be varied with this option any correlated variation will be the same across the table to help keep the alignment of before/after dates.
