I'm getting error 0xc0000005 when attempting to update or install SQL Prompt (or any Redgate tool)

Relevant logs from event viewer:

I've made sure to disable antivirus including real time scanning. I've also made sure .NET Framework is up to date (4.8).
Any other suggestions? 

I initially just wanted to update sql prompt but got this error, which led to trying to uninstall and reinstall, now i'm without sql prompt at all.
