Column Picker Stopped Working for Azure Servers (PaaS)

I've recently been sent a new laptop from work so as part of that I had the latest SSMS and Redgate installed

For some reason the column picker etc no longer works on Redgate: SSMS 19.3 - SQL Prompt: 10.14.5.5385
However, I noticed it has worked for our Azure IaaS SQL Servers, just not our Azure PaaS - which typically is what I use most.

As part of the debug process I loaded up my old laptop which still had SSMS 19.1 installed though I think SQL prompt was up to date.

The column picker worked until i did a "refresh suggestions" at which point all options for our PaaS servers disappeared.

It would seem the issue is with Prompt and not necessarily a compatibility issue with SSMS

Having this same problem. I uninstalled prompt 10.14.5.5385 and downgraded to 10.14.4.4865 and all is well.

Had to find the link here:

Just wanted to confirm: 10.14.4.4865 works

It took me refreshing a few times, both the connection and the suggestions, but they populated after that - and yes, I tried this on the other versions too but without much avail.

Hopefully Redgate get this resolved in their next release.

    Hey Davidian,

We've rolled out the latest version of SQL Prompt: (10.14.7.6275 ) on January 31st. Could you kindly verify if this update has effectively addressed the concerns regarding PaaS Servers?

Please let me know if the issue persists

@hassan_imam - I haven't tried the latest version - this post a from ben at the bottom of this thread seems to indicate there is still an issue that hasn't been resolved though: https://forum.red-gate.com/discussion/90375/anyone-else-have-suggestions-not-working-in-latest-update-of-sql-prompt

I don't have the time to update and test right now, because if it doesn't work there isn't a "downgrade" option, you have to uninstall and reinstall and believe it or not, I am up against the wall at the moment.

    Hey Davidian,

My sincerest apologies for the delay. We are constantly striving to enhance SQL Prompt. Could you kindly inform us when you've had a chance to test our latest release? For your convenience, here is the download link to the latest version. Please let us know if the issue persists and we will go ahead and try to replicate the issue on our end.

    Hi Davidian,

Apologies for the delay. Are you still experiencing the same issues with the latest iteration of SQL Prompt? You can download it here: SQL Prompt 10.14.21.9884. If it’s still not connecting, could you please send over a copy of the log files from SQL Prompt? You can find more information on how to retrieve them here.
