The licensing portal shows correct that my trial does not expire until 1/10/2024 but upon opening Flyway Desktop, it shows trial completed and only loads Community version.

Hi John,
The new release of Flyway v7.0 is a major release and seems to have knocked out trials licensed to previous versions. Since this is a trial license issue, I'll be responding shortly via the open ticket to help resolve this.
