Hi,
Thanks for your request. could you please post an example of what is happening how and what you would like to see? Which objects are affected?
Thanks,
David Atkinson
Red Gate Software -
The scenario is like this:
On the Test DB Server we have a domain account (TEST\USER1)
On the Live DB Server we have a domain account (LIVE\USER1)
We wish to synchronize the permission across these domains. -
Thanks. So you need some sort of domain mapping ability, rather like is already possible for schema mapping?
It would be interesting to hear from anyone else with a similar issue.
I've noted this as a feature request.
Kind regards,
David Atkinson

Yes a domain mapping ability would be great!

In total we have more than 10 licenses of SQL compare in the company, we are greatly apprieciated that domain mapping is avaialble to use in next version or update realease in next 2 months time.
Otherwise, we will be suffered from the manual job on daily implementation for long period of times.
Also, for a suggestion, how about a filter option for domain name which mean the software will compare the NTUserName (USER1) only instead of domain account (TEST\USER1).
Last but no least, we are heavily use of SQL compare on daily basis so we hope domain mapping can be introduced in next 2 months.
Thanks.

In SQL compare 8, there is no way to filter domain name during synchronization of database object from test environment to production environment.
So can put in this very useful feature in the coming version? Or it is a way to do it in current version?
