In 2023 we initiated a project to rewrite our MySQL comparison engines from scratch. We chose to temporarily retire the previous versions of our tool to focus on the new. We are pleased to announce that we now have the first version of the new MySQL schema comparison tool.
MySQL Compare is the most reliable way to compare and deploy MySQL database schemas. This tool is ideal for all database professionals. DBAs will benefit from more observability and control over the database changes and developers looking can track and manage schema changes during the development lifecycle. You can download the tool here and can find additional detail in our documentation page.
Once out of preview we expect to have two editions of MySQL Compare: a paid edition and a free community edition for students, educators, small businesses and non-commercial open-source projects. More details to follow.
For managing static data changes, we are currently previewing the static data support for MySQL users in Flyway. If you are seeking a comprehensive solution that automates schema change management and version control for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines then please check out Flyway.
