Hello Tony,Thanks for your inquiry and sorry to hear about your issue with SQL Backup.
The SQL Backup GUI reads the RegSrvr.xml file from a few locations, and lists down the servers registered in that file. Can you check these folders and confirm that the file is listed there and contains those SQL Server instances?- C:\Users\<current user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SQL Server Management Studio
- C:\Users\<current user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\<instance version>\Tools\Shell

Thanks for the reply. There is a RegSrvr.xml file under the first path you listed in your reply, but the app doesn't appear to be reading it. I do not have a RegSrvr.xml file under the second path you listed. -
If anyone else comes across this problem (as I did), here's the answer I got from support:
I've researched this feature and it appears that it supports up to SSMS18 in the list of servers to be imported. If you are using a newer version of SSMS it doesn't generate the RegSrvr.xml file in the same way and won't provide a list of servers to import.
The recommended approach is to install SSMS18, register your servers through it and it should create theRegSrvr.xmlfile inC:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SQL ServerManagement Studio that is being read by SQL Backup to populate the list.
