Does box SQL Search runs on require Internet access? SSMS crashing.

Whenever I attempt to run a search on a DB it crashes SSMS.  Box it runs on is restricted to intranet access.  SQL Search log says:

[Error]  [RedGate.SQLSearch.UsageReporting.ApplicationUsageHelper]: Error during collection of environmental data for usage reporting
System.IO.IOException: An unexpected network error occurred.

    Resolved by support -- they provided me with a different version of SQL Search.
