I recently attempted to use SQL Backup and was delighted to find a the maintenance plans conversion wizard to ease my transition.  Unfortunately the wizard launch is unsuccessful.  It first pops up a "Windows OLE error 80131700" followed by a Windows Server Features error stating that "The following feature couldn't be installed: .Net Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
.Net is installed on the machine - evidenced by the fact that Red-Gate SQL Toolbelt installed properly - including 3.5.
Can you help?

The Maintenance Plan Wizard only supports SQL Server versions 2005, 2008 and 2012. Unfortunately, it falls back to the SQL Server 2005 libraries for any post-2012 versions, which explains why it's looking for such an old .Net version. -

Bummer. Thanks for responding. It would be nice if deprecated functions so stated in the error messages.
