SSMS 19.0 and SQL Search

  Hi @SS123456 thank you for your post. 

  currently only SQL Prompt supports SSMS 19. SQL Search and the other tools do not. 

  Work has begun on updating the tools though to support SSMS 19.  There should be an announcement on the Forum when this is released.

  I am a bit mystified: work has begun? Was Redgate kept in the dark on SSMS19 or is this new app so different from 18 that it required tons of changes on RedGate tools. Disappointing.

  There was a breaking change in preview 4 of SSMS 19. The tools were changed to work with the earlier previews but 4 introduced the change.

  Hi all, just to confirm SQL Search now supports SSMS 19 GA in the latest release. SQL Search updates automatically so if you've opened SSMS recently then this should have updated SQL Search but if not then you can download the latest version here:

  ok, small update - I had problem with SSMS 19.0.2. It works with 19.0.1

  I have the same problem i have installed the latest version of SQL  Search  3.6.1.3286 . SSMS v19.0.2 automatically closes out when search is hit, This does not happen in SSMS v18.12.1

  Hi, SQL Search works on SSMS 19.0.1 - I had the same issue as you with v.2

  Installing this corrected the startup errors I was seeing in SSMS 19.0.2 - thank you!

  Tried the download linked above but it is still the same version (3286) publicly available in through the main download link (with a different filename) and it still crashes 19.0.2

  I had same issue with 19.0.2. SSMS Crashing once I hit SQL Search button.
  Installed 19.0.1 and still exactly same result. Crashing again.
  Any suggestions to fix this?

  I also have the latest version of SSMS 19.02 and tried this link, and have the same crashing issue when clicking the SQL Search button. Any resolution available?
