SQL search returning no results

I am using the following:

SQL Search Version 3.5.5.2703
SQL Prompt 6.5.0.336
SSMS Version 12.0.4100.1

I cannot update to a later version of SQL Search or Prompt as the business dictates that is what is used across all developers.
The indexes have no information in them, any ideas?

You just installed a couple of updates to windows I don't think any of them actually change the installed version of SQL Server.
Current SQL Server version Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - 11.0.5058.0 (X64) indicates that SP2.

Please don't install any SQL Server updates through windows update feature, it doesn't always work correctly. If you want to install CU, please download and run the executable with administrator privacy

Stuck with older SQL Search and Prompt versions, huh? Ever feel like productivity is dragging because of it? I definitely do! I spend extra time manually formatting queries. Is there a workaround you've found for faster searching and formatting in these older versions? Perhaps macros or custom snippets?
