Can confirm this happens for everyone on my team who upgraded

Same issue. Is there a way to downgrade to the prior release (10.6.12.20269)? I don't want to downgrade to 10.5, I just want to undo the update!

The short-term fix (until RedGet addresses it) is to downgrade to the prior build
https://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLPrompt/SQLPrompt_10.6.12.20269.exe- uninstall current version (10.6.13.20795)
- reinstall prior version (10.6.12.20269)
- run ssms and "do not" click on the update popup

your suggestion worked . hopefully redgate fixes this

Hi all,
Thanks for reporting this issue, we are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. We've fixed the issue now and aim to release the fix in 10.6.14 later today.
Thanks again,

Glad I found this! I just lost a lot of work (code) that I had not saved (**SIGH**... save and save often) and thought it was related to SSMS 18.9.1! Right clicking on a tab caused the entire session to just disappear.
Release 10.6.14 appears to have solved this issue.

No error, no dialogs, just disappears completely.
