Hello @Derrick,
Thanks for reaching out. Can you provide more details with what you mean by enabling PKI with the integrated authentication? Are you referring to TLS/SSL or self-signed certificates?
Regarding integrated authentication on IIS, please see below for information with enabling Basic Authentication in IIS. A default domain and realm can be specified. Access rights are given to users who have access rights to SQL Monitor’s web folder:- Official instructions: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772009(WS.10).aspx
- Personally, I find this set of instructions more helpful than the official one: http://manual.aspdotnetstorefront.com/p-1614-enabling-windows-authentication-in-iis7.aspx
- It’s very important to configure the site to use SSL. (See second link above)

Thanks David_D for helping with this. After poking around a little more and now the holidays have calmed down, i am on the tab Configuration>Authentication Settings>Authentication Type.
We want to reuse AD Auth but the find out more link within V 11 \produces a embedded 404 error RG's page. the URL is:
https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm11/configuring-sql-monitor/security-authentication-and-user-roles/authenticating-with-active-directory
I had to manually search the site and look for a similar URL and came up with this:
https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm11/adding-sql-monitor-users/authenticating-with-active-directory
I will get with my web/app developer this morning and have him try to implement this for us. I will reply with results. -
Hi @Derrick,
Thanks for reaching back out, and I'm hoping you are having a Happy Holiday!
What version of SQL Monitor are you using? Our documentation will change as the information changes or new information are being added, hence older links may be outdated or dead. I suspect that you are using an older version of SQL Monitor that is directing to an older link.
Regarding AD Authentication, please do keep me updated on your results and don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
David Dang
