What is SQL Monitor's footprint on VMWare

I would like to implement VMWare monitoring in our SQL Monitor system, but our infrastructure folks are concerned with how big the footprint for this will be. There is already host monitoring in place, and they are reluctant to add more monitoring on top of that.

Would you relate your experience with VMWare monitoring?

    Not really noticeable. Haven't heard any complaints from our vmware team. 
    We have a large deployment, 700 or so SQL Servers, most of which are vm's. The vm monitoring is a nice aid to keep the vmware folks honest.
