Licensing for SQL Servers

Hi All

I have a question about licensing. Looking at using SQL monitor and have the following: - 

8 SQL servers with a number of instances on each server

With regards to licensing, would i need to obtain licensing per server meaning i would need 8 licenses in total? If i have this wrong let me know but just want to make sure i have it right

    Forgot to add...
    Also have Azure db's that need monitoring as well
    One at the moment but potentially more

    My understanding is that one licence for one installation and if that one installation can see all 8 servers then that is fine. We have one installation watching an AG group, which is four servers and two instances on each.
