How can we help you today? How can we help you today?

Would you like to get more involved with Redgate?

Hello Friends,

Hope you're all well.

We have a range of opportunities for you to work with us, all with the aim of supporting the Data Platform community with educational content and even better software.

We completely understand that everyone's priorities have shifted following recent global events. However, if you're looking to get stuck into a new activity, we'd love to collaborate with you on the below:

Writing

Product Learning articles

These technical articles are focused on helping customers solve problems with their Redgate tools. Have you worked out how to solve a technical challenge with your Redgate tools or want to share a quick tip explaining a smart way to use a tool or feature? If so, get in touch with Editor Tony Davis (tony.davis@red-gate.com). If you're struggling for ideas, check out this forum post on SQL Monitor article ideas and our guide 'How to write for Redgate Product Learning'

Simple Talk articles

Simple Talk Editor Kathi Kellenberger is looking for highly knowledgeable, in-depth articles about technologies and processes related to SQL Server, development, and the cloud. If you're interested in writing for Simple Talk and having your article shared with over 200,000 newsletter subscribers, simply send an email to editor@simple-talk.com, telling us what you would like to write about, that you're a Friend of Redgate.

Speaking

Following the cancellation of physical events across the world, we have a bumper online events calendar in place. Recently, we've been thrilled to have several Friends of Redgate join us for our webinars and online events. Here's a snapshot of what they've been up to:

  • Redgate Streamed (April): Andy Mallon, Cathrine Wilhemsen, Rob Richardson and Rob Sewell
  • Redgate Streamed (May): Ben Kettner and Frank Geisler
  • Community Circle Cloud Conversation Club: Bob Pusateri, Carlos Robles, Frank Geisler, Kellyn Pot’Vin-Gorman, and Mindy Curnutt
  • The latest Database DevOps techniques in AWS: Bob Walker
  • Database Reliability Engineer- The new DBA?: Hamish Watson
Would you like to join us for a session during one of our online events or present a standalone webinar? If so, let us know below.

Research

The SQL Monitor team has recently migrated SQL Monitor's Base Monitor from .NET Framework to .NET Core. There are many benefits in using the Microsoft-recommended .NET Core technology: bug-fixes, enhancements, improved performance etc.

Before pushing it out globally, they'd love you to try it first and pass on your thoughts. Would you be happy to help them and give the SQL Monitor .NET Core version a try? If so, get in touch with Max Drobot on maxime.drobot@red-gate.com.

Sharing career development content

As part of our work with the Community Circle, we've created a playlist on the Redgate YouTube channel dedicated to sharing content to help with professional development and continued learning. Do you have any career development videos that you'd like to share with the Data Platform community? Let us know and we'll add it to the playlist. So far, we've featured career advice from the Redgate Advocates, as well as Buck Woody and Chris Yates.

We'll update this post with more opportunities as they come up. If you have any questions about any of the above, let us know below or drop an email to friends@red-gate.com

Thanks,

Roseanna
