Just a note to say, thank you to those who took part in this year’s State of Database Monitoring survey earlier this year- we managed to raise $4,855 for the WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund from the number of submissions. I’m also delighted to announce the report is now live!
The findings from the report confirm trends we saw last year, but also some new and interesting insights for 2020. Some of the key findings include:
Cloud adoption is increasing rapidly
Performance, migrations, and recruitment are all challenges this year
Monitoring is key to Database DevOps success
Human error is the most frequent cause of issues
Redgate’s SQL Monitor remains the most popular third-party tool
