Introducing Community Circle

Hello Friends,

Learning and sharing are at the heart of Redgate. So now more than ever, we are passionate about doing all we can to help the community through these challenging times by providing opportunities to learn and share with another.

With this in mind, we are delighted to announce our new initiative: Community Circle.

Launching very soon, Community Circle will provide free educational resources to help the community to develop their skills, connect with one another, and get advice and insights from experts during these uncertain times.

Read Annabel's blog post to find out more.

To get the ball rolling, we’re going to start by bringing together many of the resources already available and making it accessible to all. We'll then be regularly adding brand-new content to the Community Circle, including free weekly Data Platform fundamentals courses presented by each of our Advocates, a new eBook (topic to be confirmed soon), a Redgate cookbook, and more.

How can you get involved?

We'd love you to help us with raising awareness of Community Circle within the Data Platform community, as well as with creating some the educational resources. We'll post opportunities to get involved with this as they come up.

So far, we'd really appreciate some help with the following:
  • Spreading the word: Please start sharing Community Circle with your networks and add #RGCommunityCircle. We want to help as many people as possible to learn and connect during this time.
  • Submitting recipes for the Redgate Cookbook: We're asking Redgate staff and Friends of Redgate to share their family recipes in our new Redgate Cookbook (to be available digitally). Do you have a family recipe or one of your own go-to recipes that you'd like to share with the community? If so, let us know by emailing friends@red-gate.com
  • Sharing your ideas: If you have any further ideas for how we can support the community together, let us know below or by email.
We're all in this together. We hope that you and the wider community enjoy the Community Circle and that it provides some comfort and joy during this period.

Best wishes,

Roseanna

    Hey Friends,

    Community Circle is now live!

Community Circle is filled with free educational resources to help the community to develop their skills, connect with one another, and get advice and insights from experts during these uncertain times.

We've started by bringing together many of the resource already available and collated them into sections including 'Working from home', 'Wellbeing support', 'Sharpen your skills' and 'Solve problems together'.

Next, we'll be regularly adding new content including Data Platform fundamentals courses hosted by the Redgate Advocates. These will be launched very soon and will start next week, so stay tuned!

Please help us spread the word within the community by sharing on your social channels using #RGCommunityCircle.

Any feedback or questions, let us know. As I mentioned in my post above if you have any ideas on how we can support the community together, do get in touch.

We hope you enjoy learning together with the Community Circle

I will be teaching an introductory SSRS class starting Monday. This is the same class that I've taught in St. Louis for several years at LaunchCode. If you know anyone who needs to learn this skill, please spread the word!

Turns out that just 3 of you are keen cooks/bakers?! In case you missed this announcement the first time around - we've gone and extended the deadline to allow a few more days for photographing your dish/bake.

Here's what you need to send in if you'd like to be included in this one-of-a-kind recipe book:
    - Intro about the recipe
    - Photo of your creation (ideally on a white background)
    - Ingredients
    - Method

If you prefer eating to cooking, then you're in luck, we'll be sharing the book with you all next month!
