Redgate Monitor Change Server Name of the monitored database

Hello,

I have been asked if we can change the Server name of the monitored Database. Our SQL Monitor is also installed in that machine. How do we do this ?

    Thanks for your post. 

    You can indeed change the server name of the monitored database. 

    Even if you are not actually moving servers as this article suggest the same steps apply for where you would change the server name: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm/advanced-operations/moving-the-sql-monitor-database. if you're not physically moving, you can start from step 3. Although when making any changes please back up your repository first.
