Ignore Fill factor is ticked by default under the Project Options so I would check there first.

Hi Russell,
when starting SQL Compare I do not have a project opened. I go into File->Create Scripts Folder and there is no option to ignore the fill factor.
I know I can create a project and choose not to ignore the fill factor but was asking how to do it in the case I go through the File->Create Scripts Folder command -
Ah, yikes, sorry. Are you then deploying straight from the scripts folder?
-
Yes, the scripts folder is committed into git and is compared against live DB for deployment
-
And how are you doing that? Using the command line?
-
Currently using the GUI (as I said go to the file menu....)

@Russell D, Anything?

Apologies I never actually received a notification that you'd responded. What you're trying to do can't be done; you'd need to go through the project settings as you mentioned previously. This would need a change to apply the settings before a project is opened, which I don't know that we'll do.

Thx. please add this as a feature request for a future version

I'll feed it back to the team, but in the meantime could you please post your request onĀ https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/141379-sql-compare, as they do use that to help prioritise future work.

I posted under uservoice but when posting there I think this is a bug. The create script folder should script everything. The comparison project can ignore the fill factor or not (Depending on the project settings) but the script creation should script everything

@Russell D, Any comments?

I can see why you would think this is a bug, but its missing functionality, rather than a bug.
