How can we help you today? How can we help you today?

How have you supported Redgate and the community in 2019?

Hello Friends,
As we near the end of the 2019 Friends of Redgate program (where has the time gone?!), we would love to hear how you have supported Redgate and the community this year?
Did you join us on a webinar panel, present a session to your user group showing Redgate tools, or spread the word to your social media followers? Whatever it is, please share below, so we can thank you for your efforts.
Cheers,
Roseanna

I'll be presenting on SQL Provision to my local user group next week.  Thanks @KathiK for getting me off to a good start with your presentation kit!

While I am the first to admit that I have been quieter than I would like to be this year, I have been busy working within my team to champion more of a CI/CD process than we have in place currently, and I'm slowly getting people to realize that when we can automate some of these things and make them more of a process, there's fewer variables and ultimately less that can go wrong.

Thanks Bob! It's great to hear that you've been working with your team to champion a CI/CD process. Let us know if you need any help with that.

I spent a lot of time with the SQL Data Catalog team, showed the product to my team at the day job, and provided some feedback based on other products I've seen.  I enjoyed working with the team and the product and I'll probably write a new talk for next year about data cataloging.

I've been a bit quiet this year.
    • One article on Simple Talk.
    • Two articles on SQLServerCentral
    • One article currently in flight with regard to the Data Catalog
    • One article idea currently working on for SQLDoc
    • Feedback session with the Data Catalog team

First half of last year was rather better than the second half - I got the development team interested in the DevOps side of things, but left before I found if they'd actually bought any of the toolset.

The company I'm now at, though, isn't really that sort of place.  It's as much as I can do there to get them to pay for a single SQLMonitor licence.  :-(  Still, maybe the next contract will bring me a more receptive / interested market.

I helped find the venue for SQL in the City for Austin. I did a chat session with the local sales team in Austin about my favorite Red Gate products. I had several chats about Remote DBA with Cass and things that would be needed for monitoring in that environment. I also did a webinar for getting started with Azure.
