Data Catalog thoughts

I am experimenting with the data catalog and there are some omissions that I notice.
  • Once categories and tags are created I cannot find a facility to go back and edit their descriptions
  • MS_DESCRIPTION extended properties are not available for the  Redgate_SqlDataCataog itself.  I would have thought this would be the one database on and system that would have all the descriptions in place
  • A placemarker for missing MS_DESCRIPTION values in the scanned databases would be useful to emphasise that these need filling in by the team responsible for the database.
  • Navigation by keyboard only doesn't seem to be possible. It would help if you could tab onto the pie charts and press enter to drill down to the next level.
