Why does SQL Compare not remember its last window size and position?

Every time I open the app, it's usually not where I left it. Most of the time, it's maximized and when I try to restore it, it just restores to full screen.

I change it to what I want before I close it, this should be remembered and restored when I restart the app, no?

    This remembers for me without any problems. The settings are stored in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Red Gate\SQL Compare 14\UIFormLayout, do you have any problems writing to that registry key?
