The three boxes should work together, ie AND. Assuming the regex matches properly I wouldn't expect both to be required.

I'm not but, the error message is from a level 21 severity and so testing (nope Management won't spring for a full test environment) is a challenge. I was just looking for validation that my guess was correct. Thanks for you time.

I want to exclude SQL Server Error Log entries that have and specific error number and have a specific error message. My question is: If I have two types of alert exclusions (error number and error message), is the result a logical AND or a logical OR? Another way of asking is: Do both need to be true to be excluded?
