New release: SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare now available on Linux

Hi Friends,

I'm excited to announce the latest updates to our flagship comparison tools, SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare, which for the first time offer Command Line Interfaces on Linux.

What’s new

Linux command line support (beta)

The SQL Compare 14 command line and SQL Data Compare 14 command line are now available for Linux, so teams can compare their databases whether they choose to work on Windows, Linux, or a combination of the two.

SQL Server 2019 support

SQL Compare 14 comes with full support for the forthcoming SQL Server 2019 release, so users can access all its new features.

Learn more about the new release.

You can also read our Product Documentation to learn how to get started with the SQL Compare command line for Linux.

As always, we’d love to hear what you think about the release. For those of you already using SQL Compare or SQL Data Compare, please upgrade to the latest version.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thank you,

Jess

I am curious if Microsoft has released any sales/implementation data for SQL Server running on Linux. I don't move in circles that use Linux.
