I am using Visual Studio 16.3.1 and SQL Prompt 9.5.19.11631 and when I try to do a "Format SQL" I get the exception "object reference not set to an instance of an object". It is occurring while the command is attempting to "apply layout" rules and skips the "apply casing options" as a result. If I remove the apply layout rule from the set of formatting rules to apply, the error does not occur, but I get extra semi-colons on every statement. Anyone else having this problem?

I am having a similar issue with SQL Prompt 9.5.20.11737 and Visual Studio 2019 16.3.2.

Hi,
We're aware of the issues using formatting in Visual Studio 16.3 and are currently investigating. We'll keep you updated.
Thanks,

I did find that formatting works correctly in SSMS, so there is at least a workaround
