When will this feature work again and will if every work permanently. Other vendors (devart sql complete) don't seem to have issues with this feature.

    Hi @01011010 ,

So sorry that you're not happy with SQL Prompt's support for linked servers. Is there a specific issue you're having with the feature? I've checked internally and we would expect that the feature should be working. Do you have an open case or current example of the feature not working that I can investigate?

    Kind regards,

    Pete Ruiz

    No open case.

    Works up to this point
    SELECT * FROM act2.PAS_HCL_PROD.dbo.

    no suggestions after dbo.

    Hello @01011010 ,

Thanks for clarifying. Just to confirm, do you have the option to load suggestions for linked servers enabled in your SQL Prompt connection options?

Also, does the current user you're signed on as have the VIEW ANY DEFINITION permission on the linked server?  For more information on this, please see the documentation page below.

The option is selected and the permission has been granted.

    Hello @01011010,

We've just tested this feature in the latest version and it seems to be working as expected. If you test the connection to the linked server in SSMS, does the connection pass? Did the server name come up in the suggestions after the SELECT statement?

    Kind regards,

    Pete Ruiz

Thanks Pete, the autocomplete stops after the Database selection.

    Note Linked server ACT2
