New release: SQL Monitor 9.1

Hi Friends,

We’ve just release SQL Monitor 9.1, which includes expansion on the API to help you fine-tune your alerting through PowerShell and a new permissions table to help you maintain compliance on your servers.

In more detail:

New API functionality

The SQL Monitor PowerShell API allows you to write PowerShell scripts to configure what SQL Monitor should monitor and how you get alerted to issues. You can generate authentication tokens from within SQL Monitor and there are a range of example scripts available to help get you started.

Here are some handy links with more information.

Permissions table

A new section on the server overview screen shows you who in your organization has access to that server at each access level. You can get a summary count of users at each level, and then drill down to see details.

You can see an example of what it looks like here, just scroll down to the section called “Permissions”.

As always, we’d love to hear what you think about the release. For those of you already using SQL Monitor, please upgrade to the latest version.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thank you,

Becky
