SQL Back up Agent not starting

We are using SQL backup for our back up and recovery. On one of the instance backup job start failing without giving any error message. Manual backup is not possible either becuase that instance cannot be added on to main SQL Backup window to perofrm backup. I am getting following connection error:
SQB service did not acknowledge receipt of data ( WAT_TIMEOUT)

Try to restart SQL BAckup Agent service. After spending logn time service stopped and looks like no way to restart it.
I do not want to reboot server, please provice me a solution to resolve this issue without rebooting the server.

    Hi Khan,

    It sounds like you are running into a known issue covered here.

    If you kill the SQBCoreService process in Task Manager, edit the registry entry to include the Instance name and try to start the SQL Backup Agent service it should do the trick.
