Hi. Could you please check if there is an enabled drive encryption software like BitLocker? When BitLocker is enabled, fixed drivers become readonly and gives error when creating image. Check SQL Clone documentation https://documentation.red-gate.com/clone3/faqs#FAQs-DoesSQLCloneworkwellwithdriveencryptionsoftwarelikeBitLocker?

Nothing like that installed and this is a temporary error. Like I said, re-running the image creation has always been successful. -
Hi, what is the size of your database to create image? If it is a large database, can you try to create image for a small database?

Hi - happens with the two databases we create images from: ~220GB and ~ 560GB. I'm in touch with your support team now who are looking into things.

We've just migrated our SQL Clone installation (v3.1.1.16103) to a new server and images to a new drive but we've started to get the error message below every couple of days - running the image creation again has always worked successfully. Can anyone help in identifying what is causing this?
Encountered an error invoking Format on MSFT_Volume (code: 43006) (WmiInvocationException)
This suggests: Cannot perform the requested operation when the drive is read only
