I had SQL Search 3 installed for SSMS 17.9 and wanted to also have it available in 18.0. I thought I'd have to uninstall and then reinstall to get this to work since that is what I had to do with SQL Prompt 9. SQL Search 3 is now gone from my programs as well as SSMS Integration Pack 1. When I try to reinstall it says that 3.2 is already installed.

Hi Hanna,
This is usually due to leftover registry keys in the machine's Registry!
There was a known issue with our uninstaller where uninstalling would leave some keys - for SQL Search, it is likely this one:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SQL Search 3
Delete this registry key and the installer should stop thinking that SQL Search is still installed.Let us know if that then allow you to reinstall!

Hi, this solution is not working for me. I have deleted every entry of SQL Search and RedGate in my registry and I still can´t install a newer version of SQL Search because it is still sending me the message that I have an older version of SQL Search installed.
