I just proposed your SQL Prompt in my company. But this is a place full of "yes but" people. If I do buy myself, could I keep my license if I don`t keep this job?

Yes. You would need to purchase and software under your own name, email address and payment method, rather than the company's. Eg. Company name and company email could not be used.
