Victimless deadlocks

From 8.0.22, the release notes state 
victimless (eg Exchange Event) deadlocks are excluded by default

In the alert configuration for Deadlock alerts we have the checkbox

Alert when deadlock has no victim process

Does ticking this override the default setting?

    I thought so.  It isn't though, as I'm seeing deadlocks in the sqlmonitor_session extended event and despite this checkbox being ticked, I didn't get any alerts
