MOVETO Being executed for out-of-sequence logs??

Hello Jack,

I agree. I think that if the backup fails and produces an incomplete file, the incomplete file should probably be removed from the location that it was copied to. This is my understanding of the problem.

    Hi Jack,

    Admittedly, I was thinking of the COPYTO command and not the MOVETO command. The first applies to the backup part of the log shipping.

    What, exactly, would you need the behaviour for MOVETO to be? If the restore fails, do you want to leave the file in the shared log shipping folder? Do you think maybe the incomplete files that fail to restore should be deleted from the share?
