The reason we made the change was that some users wanted the sync script window kept open so they could have a look at the action plan & warnings while they were editing the sync script in management studio

Could you add a checkbox to the sync wizard which behaves similar to the "Close dialog box on completion" when a comparison is run? Could that checkbox then save its state as the close on completion box does? This could satisfy both groups of users.

The way I use SQL Compare is to generate a script and then save/tweak/edit/execute as necessary. It is close to never that I need the wizard once in Management Studio. Having to close the wizard before being able to change projects or close SQL Compare is rather frustrating.
