We're looking into it but there are no concrete plans as yet.
This won't be work done by the Foundry team either, if it gets done it will be done by the SQL Prompt team. -
I had the same exact question. I second the motion. Looking forward to having SQL Prompt compatible with Azure Data Studio... Best, Raphael

I'm also exploring the usability of Azure Data Tools and would be interested in seeing SQL Prompt functionality there.
-
Azure Data Tools is lightweight and deserves to have a plugin as good as SQL Prompt!

I agree 110%!! I'm desperately waiting for this! Can't wait to see SQL Prompt on ADS. This is the only barrier for me to move out of SSMS completely! I'm a Mac and Linux user and have a Windows VM just to have SSMS and the Redgate Toolbelt available. Please work on this feature!!

+1 for me!
-
+1 please

+1 here as well. Azure Data Studio is not nearly as useful without SQL Prompt!

Thanks for the interest. Can you please add your votes to the uservoice here: https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/94413-sql-prompt/suggestions/32271289-support-for-microsoft-sql-operations-studio if you haven't done so already? This is easier for us to keep track of.

Has there been any movement? Will there be any movement on this? the last updates were almost a year ago.

The preview of SQL Prompt in Azure Data Studio is ready! We’re looking for a group of forward-thinking customers to join our Early Access Program and work with us to help design and build what SQL Prompt will look like in a brand new IDE.
Are you an ADS user or are happy to start using ADS for the duration of the program? Learn more here .
The program is currently only open to customers who use ADS on Windows. -
Thank you for pushing this topic with some good news!
We really appreciate a ADS SQL Prompt. However, one of the key features of ADS is its support for Mac and Linux. Would you please let us know when we can expect the release for other platforms?
-
Our intention is to use feedback from the EAP group to help prioritise what goes into the first full release. I'm pretty certain that will include support for Mac and Linux but we're very interested to hear where the group steers us.

Ok, downloaded and installed ... Possibly I missed this info somewhere, but where does the feedback belong?
-
We'll send you a feedback survey in about a weeks time. Or, feel free to email the team directly at sqlprompt.in.ads@red-gate.com.
-
Is there any way to get in on the Mac beta when it happens? I'd be all over that! As it stands, one of the two reasons I keep Parallels going is for SMS, and I use SQL Prompt on that. My main motivation to move to ADS would be to not have to run the VM, so I don't see a benefit from a Win-only ADS SQL Prompt.

Hi @ambroselittle
Absolutely. As and when we get SQL Prompt in ADS running on Mac/Linux we'll be sure to announce it far and wide so you can try it out!
Thanks,
Tom

I'm not quite sure if this is the correct subforum for my question so first let me say "sorry" if it's not.
Are there any plans for a Microsoft Azure Data Studio - SQL Prompt yet?
If not is there a way to get a notifcation once SQL Prompt is released at redgatefoundry.com?
King regards,
Nils
