Hi there,
Thanks for your post.
SQL Compare reports will only show results for objects that have been selected for synchronization (i.e. objects that have a tick in the middle column of checkboxes).
In previous versions of Compare, all objects were automatically selected, but this behaviour has been changed in v8 after user tests showed that usually people only want to consider a small number of objects, or had worries that they may synchronize things by mistake.
We're aware of how this affects reporting though: would you rather have the reports always consider all objects regardless of their checkbox state?
Or would an option to choose whether to include all objects or just selected ones be better?
Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated!

I would not want it to change to automatically use all objects regardless of their checkbox state. I'd rather see an option to include all or just selected. Alot of times I only generate the report for selected objects but I do understand that others may want everything.
BTW, I like the change that all objects are not automatically selected after the compare. -
Thanks. I tried it again and it works as expected
