MySQL Version 8

We upgraded our MySql to version 8 to be able to utilize some of the new features; however, my MySql Compare and MySql Data Compare stopped working.  I am getting an "Unable to cast object of type "System.Byte[]" to type System.String"

Is anyone else on MySql version 8? Am I missing something?

    Did this ever get resolved?  Does MySQL Compare support version 8?  Thanks.  I'm looking for a CI/CD solution for AWS Aurora (MySQL).
