New events coming this October - "SQL in the City Summit"

Before I announce this news tomorrow during SQL in the City Streamed, I wanted to give you all the heads up first.

This October we'll be hosting three new 'SQL in the City Summit' events in London, New York and Chicago. I'm still in the early planning stages for these events, but tomorrow's livestream seemed like an ideal opportunity to let the Redgate and SQL Server community know what we're planning.

The new SQL in the City Summits will be open to all to register, but will primarily be for senior professionals that are interested in learning about all things DevOps, in an effort to support them to implement change (with a little help from Redgate tools) in their own IT teams. The session content will be geared towards C-level IT executives, directors, managers, and senior database engineers and professionals.

I plan to invite 1-3 FoRGs/Partners to be involved per event, so if you're interested in presenting a session on this topic/or would like to be part of a panel discussion (sharing how you've implemented database DevOps in your organisation, or have helped clients to do so) please do get in touch with me, and I'll review your application.

Stay tuned for more information, specifically for the dates and the venue details, which will be announced early July (I'll post here, as well as on social media once it's public).

Sadly that is a long way for me.  I'm happy to help with any online panel discussions though

More details about our SQL in the City Summits can now be found on the event pages on the Redgate Hub:
    www.red-gate.com/hub/events/redgate-events/sqlinthecity-summit/
As FoRGs I'd like to invite you to register for our London, New York or Chicago Summits for free, using the code 'FoRG'.

Our US events are free to attend (as we're hosting them at Microsoft Technology Centers), but folks will need an access code to allow them to register. If you have a client, colleague or connection you'd like to invite to attend (because they're
interested in learning how their business can benefit from implementing Compliant Database DevOps), you can provide them with this code 'FoRGReferral' which will grant them access to register for free. Please refrain from posting these codes on social media, but please do help me to spread the word about the events by sharing the event details on your social media accounts, or in discussions with your clients/colleagues.

Post here if you have any questions, and i'll get back to you with answers!

    Cheers,
    Annabel  :)

    Hi everyone,

This week I wrote a blog post as the full speaker line-up for Redgate's SQL in the City Summits are finalised. Thanks to those who have picked this up on social media and shared it, much appreciated!

I'm delighted that we have the following FoRGs speaking at the Summits, joining our evangelists, Steve Jones, Grant Fritchey and Kendra Little:
Derik Hammer SQLHammer  - New York (Panel)
BrianRandell - New York & Chicago (Session + Panel)
    AlexYates - London (Panel)
EstebanFG - Chicago (Session + Panel)
    bob_walker- Chicago (Session)
    BobPusateri - Chicago (Session)

    Additional external speakers involved:
Bob Ward, Microsoft - New York + Chicago (Session)
Ronit Regar, Microsoft - London (Session)
Simon Sabin, Sabin.io - London (Session)
Jim Szubryt, Accenture - Chicago (Panel)
Sylan Furness, Co-op Financial Services - Chicago (Panel)

I know that some of you have already registered, using your complimentary code "FoRG", and I look forward to seeing you there. If you haven't yet registered, and you're interested in coming along, please get yourself registered as soon as you can. You can also help me to spread the word to senior database professionals in your networks, so that they too can learn from DevOps and Data Platform experts and network with their peers. Just share the code "FoRGRefer" with your contacts to enable them access to register.

    Thanks all

Thanks so much for this feedback Ben, glad you enjoyed it. I didn't get a chance to chat to you yesterday, but I'm sure you chatted with many of the other Redgaters!
If you get a chance it would be great if you could complete the feedback form online

I'm looking forward to doing it all again next week in Chicago!
