Hello Friends,
We're about to release SQL Search for SQL Operations Studio. SQL Search is the most popular tool Redgate has ever developed and the version for SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio 2017 has been downloaded more than half a million times.
We're planning to announce this extension in May, and we'd like to ask for your help with testing it. You can download the extension at redgatefoundry.com/SQLSearch and follow the instructions.
You will need to install SQL Operations Studio preview build available at github.com/Microsoft/sqlopsstudio/releases
You can send us feedback via this forum, or through our github page

Hi Santiago - thought this would be a good opportunity for me to get some practice with Sql Ops Studio as I haven't used it much. Just a couple of notes
1. I had to rename the download from .zip to .vsix
2. I will still be using SSMS (and sql search) going forward but if I was going to use Sql Ops Studio then a variation on the extension to allow searching a single database would be useful to cut out some of the noise. Not sure if that would require another text box for the user to supply the database name??
3. View definition works with Views/Procs but not tables.
but all in all looks good
cheers
Ben

Hi @ben_b,
Thanks for your feedback!
We've managed to reproduce and fix 1 (for the record, it only happened when downloading the VSIX using Edge). We'll add 2 and 3 to the backlog.
Cheers,
Alex
