"Record file I/O performance" requires admin access

When trying to run ANTS Performance Profiler with the "Record file I/O performance" option checked it's prompting "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device" and that I need admin access. It's running on a Windows 10 VM.

Is that a requirement or is there a workaround?
