Hi Hrvoje,
Thanks for your post, sorry to hear you were having an issue!
I shall raise this with the developers and let you know any outcomes. In the meantime, there has been a newer version released recently that is available for download using the below link:
ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQLSearch/29Mar2018/SQLSearch_3.1.2.1997.exe
From your screenshot it doesn't look like you're on this version. If you upgrade to this version do you still see the same issue?
Thanks,
Asha -
No, it did not solve the issue.

Hi Hrvoje,
Thanks for the fast update! I shall pass this along to the developers and will keep you updated on any progress.
Can I just check, do you have a workaround or is this blocking you from using SQL Search?
Thanks,
Asha -
The workaround is very simple, I just uncheck these options and it works.
SQL Server would still use secure connection despite those options being unchecked if "Force encryption" is turned-on on the server. -
That's good to know - thanks very much!

I'm having the same issue I think. Just need to locate that connection properties window.

Depending on the version of SSMS you're using, click Options on the connection dialogue:
