I was happy to see the beta released today. It took care of a problem I had with blocking (SC-4087).

It used to be that you could double-click on the arrow to choose which way the synchronization would go but that doesn't seem to be available any longer. I hope that functionality hasn't been removed. Typically I will switch it back and forth if I am just using the individual SQL statements to manually choose what is correct in one side or the other.

It appears slightly slower overall but the fact that I am not running into any blocking issues is great. The overall GUI looks like it has more functionality that makes sense, but just changing the directions apparently missing is a big loss for me (hopefully it is just user error).

Thanks - great product

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. The "change synch" functionality has been replaced in favour of "switch" button on the Edit Projects dialog. The logic is that conceptually synchronizing from left to right keeps it simple and it's less likely that mistakes will occur. Of course we're open to positive criticism so if you don't think that this will work as well for you, we'd like to know why. If double clicking the arrow simple switched the two sides, would that work for you, or would it be even more confusing?

What exactly do you feel is slower? Is the the generaly responsiveness or maybe the comparison?

    Thanks,

No I think that the two databases should stay on the same side as registered no matter what you decide to do. That would add an unnecessary level of confusion IMHO.

So if you switch the synch arrow and save the project, would you want the direction of the synch to be saved for the next time you load the project?

If you save, yes. Typically when I switch direction from the project's original state it is just for that time. If I don't save then Compare should leave it the way it was if I close and re-open.
