Hi folks,

Have you updated the forum recently?

I see two things that appear to have changed (or if they have not changed, I've not noticed the behaviour before):

1. Signatures seem to be excluded now. That's kind of annoying.
2. The twitter icons on posts are a bit scary. They are kind of where the signature used to be so I clicked on a couple expecting to go to the authors' twitter profiles. Nothing seemed to happen. Then when I clicked it again I noticed a tiny notification in the bottom left corner. "Duplicate post". When I looked at my twitter feed I had tweeted a link to the forum post. I'd actually tweeted twice, once for the original question and once for an answer. If that twitter icon was a share link I would have expected it to tell me exactly what I was going to tweet and ask me to edit/confirm before just going and tweeting on my behalf.

OK - seems my sig is working here? But it isn't here (at least not for me):

Still getting the subtle tweeting thing going on though.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for pointing this out. I recently changed the editor to WYSIWYG (from BBCode) to fix some issues with the notification emails that we were seeing. I wasn't aware that this would do anything with signatures but this is the only thing that's changed recently so it may well be linked. I'll look into this.

The twitter button is working as intended but I'll chat to a few people to see if this is functionality that we want to continue using. In the meantime please be careful to avoid tweets that you don't want! That said, please do tweet interesting discussions if you see some worth sharing  :o.
