hello richardL thank you for the reaction
    assumption
I have a rich experience of sql data bases
i created a database with only one table to test redgate essentials.
id as integer, firstname as varchar, lastname as var char, street as varchar
i run redgate 4 as prescibed
the data for firstname lastname gives good results however street gaves encrypted data
the regular expression in the streetline shows (A-Z0-9)*
if i put a curious reg expression  which i found somewher like ([1-9][0-9][0-9]?) N0rth [ east .... a very long not understable expression
After filling in and restart the pc the data were correct
    Curious
I am curious what an expert may say to that
    greetings from switzerland

    Hi RichardL
The problem is that a regular expression in the data line is needed. How the regular expression should be depend on the data you wish to import. An impossible solution. The result is that i bought sql essentials and sql prompt together som 600 Euro and i can not use it.
I certain will not recommended redgate, sorry
    greetings
